A comedy story with a background of the war of independence. Naga Bonar, a former pickpocket without education, is naïve and loyal but reckless and honest. He appointed himself as a commander of an army and fought against the Dutch. He is also romantically involved with Kirana, a doctor's daughter who sided with the Dutch.
